Thats exactly right. There are plenty of "incapable morons" who join the military and remain, just like any other profession has good and bad people.

You very well could have a super sniper or something that was never in the military in his life, but put in that situation, he could waste 15 enemys compared to the "trained" soldier only taking out a couple.
