Equal length headers are not junk. I have BBK equal length headers and did the install myself. It really wasnt that hard and they perform and look great.
Many 10 second cars have equal length headers on them. If you think equal length headers are a pain in the @ss try and install long tubes.  The mistake most people make is putting 1 5/8 inch equal lengh headers on a stock engine when they should have went with 1 1/2 inch headers to maintane there low end torque. Later,
