There are so many things that could have happened. I never saw a timing chain just break for without reason unless you have a lot of mileage on the engine. It sounds as though your crank stopped which is bad. (Crank stops, accessories still spinning causes belt to fly off). You won't know the extent until you (or Ford) does the tear down but I can't off much optimism. Good luck to ya.
