Hi, I have a '93 lx and I'll just share with you what I did when I needed a rebuild. My block was in good shape, it only had 70K miles so I still use it. My crank was shot, so instead of buying a new 302 crank I just decided to buy a whole kit since I needed rods too. I got the 331 stroker kit from Probe for $1295. I already had Trick Flow heads, 1.6 roller rockers, E303 cam, and a host of other stuff. I decided to swap the cam for the Trick Flow stage 2 cam and I am not dissapointed one bit. It is also my daily driver so don't let all the mods scare you. It is a powerful but tame combo, it idles nicely and runs smoothly. Plus, even with 3.73's and all these mods my gas mileage never got worse, I get 24-25mpg on the interstate and depending how I drive in the city I usually get 14-18mpg which is as good as a stock 5.0, but I do have to use 93 octane. Not sure if you wanna spend that much money, but if you do, you won't be dissapointed. Oh yeah, I am a horrible driver and I still ran consistent 13.2-13.4's at over 109mph.
