rearend question???

how can you tell (vin number or otherwise) what gear comes in a stock 5.0? i have a 91 LX hatch and im just wondering what gear is in it?

i know ford used the 2.73, 3.08, and 3.27 in stock stangs. any help appreciated...

There's a metal tag on the rearend cover that has the ratio stamped on it.

...or there should be an axle code on a sticker on the driver's door.
Let us know what letter is there. I'll have to look up the axle codes unless someone here knows them off the top of their head.

Oh, and the oldest boy is turning his 89 GT into a FFR cobra this next summer.
