I know Carfax has a $5,000 clean history guarantee - not exactly sure how it works, but if you run their report (most likely has to be before you buy a vehicle) and it comes up clean on their report - and you later find out is is a Salvage vehicle, they will write you a check for $5,000...maybe worth looking into.
