Do not buy used speakers!!
You do not know what kind of envoironment they were in. Did they get wet, who knows. Did the previous owner have a cheap amp that "clipped" (music is an AC signmal and clipping is when the volume is turned up so high that the output becomes a steady DC voltage, thi sdestroys speakers) the output? who knows.

I would go to an audio store listen to what they have and then get prices from crutchfiled and make your best deal.
