90dpscoupe i didn't say you need to get a new flywheel just get it resurfaced (shaved)
. but getting it shaved is very important. if your smelling it burn while your driving it
doesnt have long ive seen them wear 1/16
grooves in the flywheel and pressure plate
the with of the disc. what sounds like happened is you glazed the flywheel and
pressure plate. A disc cant hold well to a glazed surface so it will slip and rapidly wear the disc into the flywheel and p plate.
*** well as the lining. good luck and be
safe if you do it yourself (jackstands no cinder blocks ect.) Ive seen to many people get hurt and even killed under cars. dont
trust it for a second and do it on level concrete. also the pentrating oil is good idea even if you pay somebody he will be gratefull maybe even be cheaper than if he has to wrestle bolts ive wasted many days on stuborn bolts.
