I'm a fan of the post count but if people want a post count then I say this: Do like I do and manually put your post count at the left and update it through your profile a couple times a week.
That way it will help PKRWUD and others who use it to ID other users.
I would be nice to see Dan bring it back again but, hey, there are ways around this things.
My motto is this: If you see a mountain in front of you, don't try to go through it or over it...go around it....
