AOD tranny, my 87 has one, its stood up to the abuse ive given it, had it rebuilt once, but that was just because the motor was being done so i figured why not do the tranny while its out of the car, but it still ran good when i took it out.

from what ive been told the input shaft is its week point, and its a soft shifting tranny to make ppl happy that didnt want a firmer tranny, im not sure how much hp it can safely take im just telling you what ive heard, oh and by the way if you havent already done so, add a shift kit, it helps alot!!
