Trust me, hatred of FRAM is a universal thing. I was in a discussion on ThirdGen.org, when I had my Camaro (still do..prepping it for sale)...and everyone hated Fram. Several of them also had personal experiences with FRAMs...one guy's motor blew and he brought it to a shop who tore the engine apart and told him that one reason the engine blew was because the crappy FRAM oil filter clogged and it didn't have the little emergency valve that, in case of clog, it locks open and allows oil to keep flowing through, unfiltered.
