I haven't run the lakewoods but my guess with your et's is all the weight hanging off of them at launch combined with Lousiana's notorious velvet smooth road system. I would look into putting limiting straps on the car so when you do launch it is the strap supporting the weight not the strut(they also come in handy in tuning your launch for different track conditions).
