By dust cover, do you mean the block plate? The thin metal plate that goes between the bellhousing and motor? If so, then you need this back on there.
I was thinking (and probably Coupe5OH was thinking) that you meant the dust cover that goes over the end of the clutch fork at the cable end. Which one do you mean?
