Default shift stops

Just put the car into gear, but still push on it as if you were shifting it hard...tighten the bolts until they hit the shifter bottom...then back the bolt off a 1/4-1/2 of a turn, so that you won't actually hit the bolt everytime you shift. Check for proper adjustments in all 5 of the gears.
