Mein Deutch ist shlekt. (sp?)
My Grandfather moved over here from Germany and became a US citizen in the 1920's. He returned to Germany semi-regularly, eventually marrying my Grandmother, and they both finally made it over here together in the mid 30's. Boy, I wish I could remember some of the stories she told about during the War(s) when I was a little kid. |
