I'm thinking about getting a mustang convince me...
Ok well here's the deal, right now i drive a super slow sunfire se 5spd its fun but very very slow. My older brother had a 95 stang 6cyl he had a lot of headaches with it until he crashed it and got money back. But i'm thinking about getting a mustang gt 95+. I heard there like 14 seconds what mods would i need to start with to get into the 13 second mark?
thank you Phreeze |

id say go with gears, underdrive pullies, exhaust, remove air silencer, bump timing, and some drag radials or slicks, and it should be definately running in the 13's, and if you feel like it and intake and throttle body, a fuel pressure regulator and a good tune up will help out quite nice. thats what im doing now. btw thats if you decide on the 95 gt 5.0, im im sure others will explain on a 4.6 gt, although the basics still apply!!!
later

To go 13's, all you need is good driving and a 99+ car.
To be guaranteed 13's, Gears (3.73 or 4.10), u/d pullies, Timing adjuster, (k&n of course), and a decent track. In a 96-98, you need the above, sticky tires, and some 99+heads. I figure I might see a 13.99 without the headswap. But then I seem to have a Wednesday car. The cobras respond just as good to mods, and they start off faster. One thing to warn you about though. Regardless of what you get, you will get hooked on going faster. So start with the fastest base possible. And for Pete's sake, ditch the Sunfire.

You can spray a 100 shot w/o issue. Just make sure you get a good kit, and have enough fuel. Grab an intake spacer to run a dry shot.

Yep, get a 99+ GT. A few minor mods and you'll be set.

Not that my ROD is the fastest or best looking but if you want a CHICK magnet, look what you can get for under 12 grand if you play your cards right!

What you need is a 96-98 cobra. 305HP right out of the box and can go 12's with gears and traction.
96-98 SVT Cobra all the way baby.

Like you really needed any more reasons to buy a Mustang? I doubt it. They are really quick with a few mods, and CHICKS LOVE THEM. Im 28 married with a kid, and I get girls looking and sometimes shouting out "HEY" with mine all the time. Wife hates it, specially when she is in the passenger seat . I dont think you can go wrong buying one, as long as its in good shape. Good luck.
