![]() If you use the Summit seat, the slide bars really do not work well with the seat, so it is better to hard mount the seat on the platform. The slider also raises the seat up quite a bit. I had to lower the seat platform in the center by welding in a new steel plate, and then mounted the seat with 3/8 inch rod stock, through the floor. As far as the 5 point "Y" belt. Unless you have a roll bar in the car, it is a bit of a problem as to where to mount the leg of the "Y" in the back. It is normally mounted to the cross bar on the main hoop. If you drag race the car, and you use the belt, it does have to be renewed every 2 years. If you don't race, then it is no problem.
