Nope! The gauge was grounded properly. What happened was I had my metal work light hanging off my hood latch. Sometimes when I leave the light on the hood like that, it will kill the battery on start up, like the battery's dead. With that said, when I removed the light, I didn't disconnect the battery to reset everything...I just went back and tried starting the car again. It started but the gauge wasn't working. I disconnected the cables from the battery and re-conncected them again. Started the car and voila! Everything was working properly.
Thank god it was something that simple. It's so cramped on my passenger side and I hate taking all that stuff off time after time. The funny thing is: I'll bet this isn't the last time I forget to move my work light before I start the car ![]()
