srv1 is right! High pressures do make for a harsher ride. One wouldn't think it, but stock supensions do depend on the tires for some cushioning, but that implies stock tire sizes and recommended pressures in a stock suspension. I run 35 psi in my front 215/60R/15's and 22 psi in my rear 235/60R/15's for my kind of driving in my car, none of which is stock.
