![]() If the heads are not installed on the engine yet, go ahead and take them to a reputable machine shop, preferably one that deals mostly in H.Perf engines and have the springs tested and they can tell you if they are up to snuff for the cam you choose to run. A good set of springs for either of the 2 cams you are looking at should only cost $100.00 or less. If you can install them yourself then it will not cost you anymore than just parts. Cheap insurance compared to the cost of rebuilding the engine.
