![]() Heat is what kills the TFI modules. Realistically, there are no gains to be found with anything beyond the stock tfi and coil for a N/A car other than adjustable rev limiter control. The TFI can be relocated by using a harness adapter from a 5.0 or 5.8 econoline van IIRC.
If you get a new dist, the MSD pro billet is a nice piece. What mods do you have?, If you have lots of underhood temp, maybe a cowl hood is needed to cool it off. I have a Wells TFI, no problems, did not trust the 12 yr old Motorcraft one. Since the Ford ones burn up, I went with the Autozone lifetime warranty. I got the MSD TFI blaster coil and hate it, it's noisy and no performance improvment. The crane is supposed to be quiet, at least nobody complains about them like the MSD
