Synthetic oils are fine if you don't want to change your oil as often, but otherwise you are fine if you just go with normal old 10W30. I recommend Pennzoil because it has a Purebase which is similar to the way synthetic oils start out (the are just refined more after that). If your engine is a newer engine DO NOT run synthetic in it. You never want to break in a new engine with synthetic oil. Pretty much every oil out there is fine if you change on the recommended 3000 mile or 3 month mark though. As for filter, FRAM is good but if you do some research you will find they are made in the same factory as some of the pennzoil ones. They are just given a different paint job and the easy grip. So if you want to save some money, go with the pennzoil filter too.
