![]() sounds like a freak or wrong stamp got put on your label
a diagram of vin code: 1FABP40A6KF000001 1FA=ford motor company B=restraint system(B-ACTIVE BELTS) P=Passenger car 40=body code(40-2dr LX, 41-3dr LX,42-3dr GT,44-2dr LX covertible,45-2dr Gt vert.) A-engine(A- 2.3, M- 5.0) 6-(not sure what this number represents) K-year(1989) F-plant (Dearborn) 000001-consecutive unit number this is for the U.S. retail production of the mustang, the alpanumerics you said are in the vin, may designate it as special service(police models) not quite sure about the canadian designation of vin, or even another country. are you the original owner? . .there could be a milion different things. *it could be designation of a special vehicle(police and or military police) *if it was stole earlier in its life, before you got a hold of it, it could be a new vin. *assembly is automation so there's bound to be at least one weird orange in bunch of apples, let alone a batch of 209,769 apples. if its stock as far as original color, engine, tranny, an body type(,hatch, notch or vert.) goes, you can decipher one through the above example
