Ok...I misread your original post. I read "when I step on the gas if the clutch is pushed in" rather than "when I step on the gas. If the clutch is pushed in and I am coasting".

It is definitely the universal joints on the driveshaft. They are less than $20 each and are not too hard to replace.

Or you could get an aluminum driveshaft
