Get rid of the stereo equip. for the race. That stuff can weigh alot. Even with it, I think your chances are very good. Dark is right, those Camaro's are turds
 I work with a guy who has an early 90's RS with a 305. It's an auto with 160,xxx miles. The thing is so slow I almost feel bad for him
