![]() When I had my motor rebuilt, I got the freon discharged. My compressor sat for about a month while the engine was being rebuilt & I was doing some painting & cleaning up of the engine compartment. When I got the new motor back I hooked everything up and the a/c didn't work. Apparently there is this yellow stuff that leaked out of it while it sat for that month. The thick yellow stuff is a type of lubricant for the internals of the compressor. So my bearings were seized up, plus the system wouldn't hold freon. It had a small leak, probably from a bad o-ring. So I ripped it all out and put on a March a/c eliminator kit!
