I have actually seen the adapter to put the 2.X ford against the vw tranny and have thought about doing it heck i even have the full 2.3 motor harness ecu anwith full accesorys.. FYI not sure on the mustang motors but the rangers were supposedly like 130 HP at the flywheel as far as computers go i would use tyhe standard tranny ecu since you won't have the provisions for the tranny inputs. If you have any more q's let me know.
