Start at 20lbs and go down in 2lb increments from there, but do not go lower than 16lbs. These tires must reach a temperature of over 100*F before their compound changes, therefore if its 90* out, then you don't have to spin them as long as you do if its 50* out. I normally do a healthy 5-8 second burnout. Last year before the heads, cam, rockers, and fuel upgrades I was running 14.3 at 96.5mph on street tires with 2.08-2.09 60's. I added the Nitto's and launched at 4000rpm, I dropped to a 13.83 at 98.55mph with 1.91-1.92 60's. My suspension is 100% stock. Slipping the clutch would only get me high 1.9's to 2.0 60's, but if I slipped it for a second just till the weight transfered then let the clutch fly, I would get my 1.91's. Since I added the 4.10's, heads, cam etc I have only mustered a 1.95, but I've only had it to the track 3 times this year, and I only launched at 2800-3000. I drive on mine all the time, my first set lasted for 12K miles and over 75 passes. Don't run a lot of air in them on the street, otherwise the centers wear out for some reason. I run no more than 24lbs in mine on the street, I don't know for sure if this is gonna help or not, but I'm hoping it will. Both my old nitto's and my cousin's wore out in the centers. Good luck.
