![]() Well, I can get a complete roller motor for about $350, but I need a complete wiring harness.
I don't think that I will be anywhere close to my budget if I drop $500 on pistons, and 350 for a crank. My budget barely covered the parts I needed, and I was planning on using the stock crank with a polish stock rods, and $250 pistons/$70 rings I figure; $150 at the machine shop, $500 for a holley intake, $100 for bearings, $100 for gaskets, $150 for gears, $75 for setup kit, $150 for used injectors, $100 for fuel pump, $150 for wiring harness, $50 for radiator/shroud, $250-500 for pistons, $80 for rings, $350 for core motor, $30 for oil pump, $150 for used mass air (pro-m Bullet), $100 for used 70mm tb, $100 for intake kit, $150-250 for cam, depending on whether it's used, $70 for pushrods, $100 for lifters. That's if I use $250 pistons, and a used cam. I'm surely forgetting something, and I'm at $2,700 for these parts, plus the money I've already allocated. So far, I'm at $4,855, without the seats, which I really want, which sets me back another $150. I appreciate your input, and I'm curious how much power this combo would make with a good cam. I guess I'm looking realistically at $5k for the project now. |
