My 89' has about 130,00 miles on the odometer but the factory engine blew at about 90,000. Too many shots of Nitrous I guess! The new engine is a factory GT-40 engine (B-303 cam) but I used the stock intake. The B-303 cam gives a nice lopey idle and plenty of midrange power.... Needless to say, the Nitrous bottle is gone!
Other than the new engine, a set of full length Heddman Headers, Underdrive pullys and 373:1 gears W/Auburn differential, it's pretty much bone stock. No other major problems except for ripping apart the torque boxes. Welded in a few steel plates and it's good as new (maybe better!) Phil |
