The cost of the gaskets makes the total cost of the dress valve covers that much harder to swallow. IF i painted my covers and it is still a BIG "IF" it would have to be a really good paint job. It's still on the fence of being tacky but I have never seen a stang with nice painted covers. It may look good! Hey maybe this would start a trend!
