YES

The big starter wire and small starter wire DO NOT go on the same post.


Test which post is always "hot", or connected to the battery. THe big starter wire goes to this post. THe small starter wire goes to the big post opposite of the battery/big starter wire post.

From experience this will fix your problem. Let us know how it goes and good luck!
