what is a manual valve body transmission?

I think it's an automatic that doesn't automatically shift. Sort of like the tiptronic style trannys in the newer cars.

the beauty of it is that you can get really fast shifts, when you want them... even if you're really good with a clutch you're still no match for an automatic. the only downside is it's a sequential.. like a motorcycle.. you'll have to go through 2nd to get to 1st from 3rd.... but I dont think many people drive around with manual valve bodies on the street
