Sorry to take so long in answering. I used 87 calipers and I', figuring they're the same as 88. I used the stock brake lines on the 89 GT. There was a little bit of difference in how they bolted on but not enough to cause it not to fit. I was told that Russell makes braided lines that will fit but they are kind of esspensive. If you can take yours to a parts house and see if the 89 GT lines are different from yours, after that I am not knowing why they won't work.
