i haven't checked the compression yet. But i did get told that if the plugs were old, which they were, then that could have been the cause.What do you mean by detonation blowing the plug? I never heard of it. This after noon I replaced the plugs and wires, and noticed fuel leaking out the sides of my carb. it isn't leaking in front or in the back, but it is leaking around the spacer between the bottom of the carb and the intake manifold.
