the only real difference between the t5 and t5z is the first gear ratio. this is a good thing if you already have gears. If you still have the stock 2.73 it might slow you down a little more but when you do a gear swap you will gain it all back.

king cobra should work fine

as far as fluid, someone else might have a better idea
maybe a redline, synthetic ATF would be best
