I have the March Aluminum 3-piece set (not the power amp set), and I had major charging problems (killed 2 alternators and 2 batteries in 2 years), and I would swear that my fuel pump made strange noises too. I ugraded to the 3G alt and left the stock alt pulley - for the last 3 years NO problems whatsoever. I am sure the 3G made most of the difference, but the alt pulley played a role too.
