I had some problems with throttle brackets/kickdown cable hookup, none of the brackets placed the cables where they needed to be, they wouldn't line up with the carb lever or allow me to adjust the tension right, and the adjustable brackets available were too cheap and had too much flex to even bother with. I ended up buying one of the nice CSI aluminum (blue, $36) brackets from jeg's and used an L bracket with the square hole cut out for the kickdown from another bracket and drilled 2 holes in the CSI bracket (in front of the adjustable throttle piece) and drilles 2 more slotted holes in the L-bracket for the kickdown so I could adjust the tension. I bought 2 small allen screws that matched the one for the throttle along with a set of nuts, it works perfect and looks sweet, plus it's nice and stiff.
