you might be having the same problem as I did.
is the coolant really foamy?

what is the coolant mix 50 50 or 30 70?

whats the condition of the water pump. Is the pump rusted internally?

check all your hose clamps. i had a problem where one of my clamps were not seated right so the cooling system sucked in air and made bubles in the coolant making the foam. i removed them all and reset them down. doing that and flushing the cooling system with water and then putting in a 30 antifreeze and 70 water mix. all my problems went away.

also if this does not work or you may want to do this first. check compression in all cylinders and see if one or more vary from the rest. you may have a blown head gasket. also check the oil and make sure there is no water in it. you will be able to tell by the dipstick after running the motor. it will be nice and creamy white or brown.
