![]() The GVW sticker on the door indicates how much the car can safely carry (total vehicle weight) based on the tires and suspension it came with from the factory. Generally, about 800 pounds is the average 'load' a Mustang can safely carry.
A '96 Mustang V-8 weighs around 3400 pounds but, as suggested in a prior post, a trip to the local dump or scrap metal yard scale (and a small fee0 will tell you exactly what your car weighs with no guessing, if this is really important to you.
