the color of the silicone only has to do with teh temp rating I think.. so it's not like a better seal with one or the other... the blue stuff will be fine where you used it... though if you it does still leak then worst case pull the valve covers... it's not a hard job so much... just takes some time and patience... cause there's alot of stuff in teh way
