Use a relay. Set it up so that the relay is normally closed (passing power to the 2-step) then opens (drops power) when the neutral safety switch is closed.

Why a neutral safety switch though? Do you have the switch sensing when you're in your burnout gear? Most people with manual trans will hook the 2-step up with their line-lok switch to limit their launch or burnout rpm.
