![]() I have seen some quick carbed stangs, but if you know how to tune a carb, then yea, i really dont think you'll be happy with a stock 84-85, i mean the rearends in them arent as beefy as the 8.8 (factory 86-present stangs), also the 87-92's had factory forged pistons, although you dont need anything mentioned above for mid 13's, you could always swap an 8.8 in an older stang........my opinion, since i went 13.5's with just h-pipe, removed swaybar, stock headers, and e.t. streets, id say the efi is easier, also, more economical, now dont get me wrong, my buddies 85 went 13.3@ 106 with a 650dp carb, longtubes, and stock e7 heads off another car, and e.t. streets.
