Default "69-70 Boss?

I actually did line up by chance against a track car on test and tune that looked like a 69-70 Mustang. It was all in primer and had 12-14" slicks with a wheelie bar and a roll cage.

I knew I didn't have a chance, but gave it my best shot. I actually beat him out of the hole and maybe out to the 660', but then he came bt me like I was sitting still.

I spoke to him afterwards as he was pouring race gas into the tank, He had a 454 Chevy big block and a built power glide. This was a dedicated strip car with a roll cage that the guy had just bought.

He said he would put a buiplt 460/C-6 as soon as he could manage it. The odd thing was that he said it was an original "Boss 302" '69 or '70.

What ever it was, it was an interesting site that evening. On test and tune night, one never really knows what will turn up.
