![]() About 300 miles. But I have had them break in as little as 100 or as much as 500. Whatever you do, do NOT use synthetic oil! One time I used 1 quart of synthetic out the 8 needed and I had to drain it all back out because it wouldn't seat. I had to use the cheapest oil I could find to create enough friction to seat the rings. Use a good non-synthetic, take it on a long steady trip, and watch your mileage. (This requires topping off your tank quite a bit.) Note your mileage every 50 or 100 miles, and you will see it even out.
