It's still prone to human error. The officer has to manually push a button to start the timer and also to stop it which means human error is introduced twice.
No human has perfect reflexes...although most cops think they are superhuman anyway. Police mentallity alone can lose court cases. Thanks for the info MUSTANGII460 , even though I know you are a police officer and bias towards the mighty blue shield.
