That would be the air intake silencer. Its inside the fenderwell where the hole is for the stock filter to breathe. You could get a K&N drop in replacement and remove the air silencer, get the same effect, and spend half the money. I bought my MAC cold air when I didnt know squat about a stang. I thought it was a good investment. Oh well, you live and you learn.
