The 'official' story I heard on this picture (a long time ago) was that the kid with this car and a guy with a Turbo or something Civic were going to race and the bet was as follows.
--Loser wears the emblems from the winners company for a week. Sounded reasonable at the time, as I've personally seen some decent Honda cars in my day. Not much anymore, but some of them used to go fast.
