A shroud would definatly help, I know my '66 has one from the factory, yours should too, I imagine.
Have you " tuned up" the coolant system lately to get the most out of the stock setup? i.e. Full flush, check for any radiator blockages/corrosion, maybe a new thermostat, correct proportions for antifreeze/water? If you're still running hot after that, then I would start thinking mods (new rad. elec fan etc) I dont know how older stangs react to this , but some of the later models can be run with a cooler tstat too. Just some general ideas, J
