My boss is building an Eleanor car out of a 67 vert. We havent started alot of bodywork yet but to me it doesnt seem like much has to be cut. You are probably right about the taillights though. The front is a large peice of fiberglass that does have to be molded on so I guess that would be permanent. I will find out as the project goes on hehe.
I think its a awesome car but i do understand where your coming from. the 67-68 fastback is my favorite mustang of all time and they are rare if you dont want to spend alot of money. I was actually looking for one before i bought my 89 but couldnt find one in my price range  The ones Unique Motorcar is using for the most part are cars that are in need of a complete restoration.
